The RKC FB100 series is a range of compact (48 x 48 mm front face) single loop process controllers. In keeping with the trend towards space saving equipment the FB100 is packaged in a 1/16 DIN package with a panel depth of only 74 mm.
The FB100 offers several features and functions normally only found in higher echelon controllers, one of these features is the display incorporated with the controller. The unit has a 4,5 digit dual display for both process value (PV) and set value (SV). The PV display is a seven segment LED display, yellow in colour for easy recognition and differentiation from the SV display which is also a seven segment LED display but red in colour.
The front face incorporates a 10 segment bargraph LED display that can be selected to display either PV, SV or control output (MV) in cases of analog control output. A multimemory area function allows eight sets of parameters to be stored and selected via the front face of the controller or via voltage free contact inputs on the rear terminals of the controller. As an easy indication of the active memory area a further single seven segment LED display shows the current selection.
The SV display is also used when programming the controller in STOP mode. Local settings for serial communications, auto or manual control and alarm interlock reset can be selected prior to going to RUN mode.
