eTX and Kepware OPC products

November 2009 News

eTX Data Services specialises in data-logging and data historian application developments. Its niche area of expertise in the larger MES and ERP markets is the physical hardware and software connection to the plant, processes and machinery. This enables the initial access to raw data. After it has been logged and archived, it can then be made available to people, software applications and information systems for inspection and analysis.

In-house skills include panel building, on-site wiring and connections, PLC programming, scada configuration, radio telemetry, GPRS telemetry, SMS alarm, warning and notification, database design and management and Web or office network based report development.

So where do Kepware products fit into the picture?

Kepware connects users to the data they require through the development and supply of its OPC software products. The KEPserverEX OPC server is the flagship and is supported by a range of OPC related applications and products. These are designed to provide system integrators with the tools needed to communicate and link numerous device types to the specific software applications that are required. eTX has been the South African distributor for Kepware for the past six years.
