The Acuro–XR family of absolute encoders has been expanded by the integration of reliable multiturn technology for high reliability under harsh operating conditions. These encoders are capable of withstanding high acceleration rates, mechanical stress and extreme climatic fluctuations. They can also be operated underwater.
The ACURO-XR Series is characterised by rugged mechanical design facilitating optimum reliability and long life. Its robust enclosure with a generously dimensioned bearing ensures ease of operation with high axial and radial forces up to 300N. The unit, with its evaluation electronics, sensor asic and electronic multiturn technology, features multiple fastening with protection against humidity, corrosion and contact breakage.
Extremely high shock accelerations of up to 2000 m/s² and vibrations of up to 200 m/s² are not a problem. A high specification seal protects against penetrating liquids (IP69k) to ensure absolute reliability.
12-bit resolution is achieved within one turn of the encoder and the multiturn technology facilitates the detection and output of the number of turns. Its operation is simplistic and does not use moving parts making it wear free. A feature is that the maximum multiturn resolution has been increased to 24 bits.
The encoders offer a wide temperature operating range from -40 to 100°C making it suitable for virtually any field of application.
