SKF has announced the launch of its new global tracking system (GTS) to provide greater knowledge of logistics to customers regarding their shipments.
GTS functionalities include:
* Search criteria – sales unit order number, final customer order number, package number, shipment reference number.
* Status events for packages distributed by transport suppliers – Intra Europe Road freight, Export Europe global programs, Export Singapore global programs, Export North America global programs, Export Mexico global programs.
Expected time of arrival for intra Europe shipments.
* During 2009 all flows inside the GTS will also show expected time of arrival.
SKF key account managers will personally arrange customised access to a range of new functionalities ie, details on shipment level and scanned proof of delivery for appointed subcontractors.
Customers have direct 24 hour access to the new ‘Track & Trace’ system via SKF’s dedicated logistic services website:
