Numerous measurement devices are available for monitoring inclination angles in automation and commercial vehicle applications as well as in wind energy and solar plants. However, this information is often not supplied simply and specific to user requirements.
The new generation of F99 inclination sensors from Pepperl+Fuchs are easily configured to provide incline or tilt angles from 0-360° on a standardised 4–20 mA or 0–5 V analogue interface. Switch outputs are also provided in order to monitor limit angles, and sensor models with CANopen interface are available for integration into commercial vehicle technology. Parameterisation can be performed either via CANopen or using teach-in buttons. A spring mass system enables fast response times.
Typical applications are found in:
* Commercial vehicles, eg, to monitor the tilt angles of cranes, lift-gates or container loading equipment.
* Construction machinery, eg, to monitor the inclination position of excavators.
* Ships, eg, to ensure even loading.
Features include:
* IP68/IP69k.
* Operating voltage 10–30 V.
* Accuracy ±0,5°.
* Repeat accuracy 0,1°.
* Selectable angle measurement range 0–360°.
* Housing dimensions: 65 x 44 x 37 mm.
* Shock resistant 100 g.
* Increased EMC resistance 100 V/m.
Pepperl+Fuchs offers these non contact sensors in both, single and dual-axis versions.
