Instrotech now supplies the L'A'S laser system for absolute position measurement, which offers definite advantages for applications in the field of materials handling, conveying, logistics and machinery building.
This new product, manufactured in Germany by Siko, has a measuring range of 0,3 m up to a distance of 100 m. Resolution and accuracy are 1 mm and the objects to be measured only need to be equipped with a small reflective foil - no guide system or drag chain is needed. The laser system has integral interface for standard PLC or NC-control such as SSI, PROFIBUS, Interbus and CAN.
