DIN rail process controllers for many applications
June 2009
PLCs, DCSs & Controllers
TAIE produces a range of miniature DIN rail mounting process controllers that offer almost every possible combination of signal input and control output, as well as alarms, analogue signal retransmission, and digital communications.
Inputs include thermocouple, Pt100 and all popular process signals. Outputs include relay, SSR drive, process signals, and TRIAC. Of special note is the motor valve control option which is self-contained. Optional RS485 ModBus communications allows up to 32 controllers per loop to communicate directly with PLCs and PCs. Units may be configured via the RS485 interface and Windows-based software is free. (USB to RS485 converters are also available for PC communications.)
The advanced model (FA200) features plug and socket connectors and is only configurable by RS485, or a plug-in custom display panel. It is recommended for applications where user accessibility needs to be restricted. The FA211 is the economy model, recommended for standalone applications. It has normal screw terminals and is configurable by concealed buttons as well as RS485.
Full PID and fuzzy logic control ensures optimum control accuracy. An autotuning option simplifies setting up – however, all parameters may be user configured, if preferred.
