Spirax export to Malaysia

A Spirax Mitech hydrocarbon gas blowdown globe control valve was recently exported to an oil and gas terminal in Malaysia to replace another type that was leaking gas to the flare. The new control valve reduces the hydrocarbon gas pressure from 115 barg to 13 barg when the valve is fully open, to vent the hydrocarbon gas when the plant is unstable.

Of particular importance was the tight shut-off feature that results in zero leakage, preventing unnecessary burning of gas through leakage to the flare. The valve is fitted with an ED disc stack trim and the body is manufactured from low carbon stainless steel.
