Knick collaborates with Endress+Hauser

May 2009 News

Endress+Hauser and Knick have signed a cooperation agreement in the liquid analysis engineering product segment. The objective of this cooperation is the joint use and development of inductive connector systems based on Memosens technology (Endress+Hauser) and the future integration of the technical features of InduCon (Knick).

Knick and Endress+Hauser have agreed to open up this technology. “We want to establish a common platform for inductive connector systems to the benefit of all users,” states Klaus Endress, CEO of the Endress+Hauser Group. According to Dr Martin Knick, CEO of Knick, the cooperation agreement is the first step in this direction. “It is our aim that more sensor and transmitter manufacturers will be able to use this technology.”

Wolfgang Feucht, managing director of Knick, and Dr Manfred Jagiella, CEO of Endress+Hauser Conducta, stated that customers now have the opportunity to source Memosens compatible components from two independently acting providers of liquid analysis products. Furthermore, the launch of a new jointly developed Memosens generation is being planned.

In addition, the two companies have agreed on the mutual licensing of the relevant patents relating to inductive connector systems and the introduction of a new joint logo for Memosens.
