Servo systems for fast and accurate positioning

April 2001 Motion Control & Drives

The Omron OMNUC W series servo systems provide the performance demanded in today's workplace. The CPM2 series is equipped with synchronised pulse and position control functions, which meets the need for higher line speed and multiple product small lot production

The CQM1H is an advanced, compact PLC that can also provide distributed control. The option inner boards used in the CQM1H can support simple positioning and pulse I/O.

The C200H and CS1 PLCs' series supports:

* Positioning applications: the C200HW-NC series positioning modules offer one-axis, two-axis and four-axis control.

* S-curve settings, backlash compensation, teaching and present position change.

* Motion application: The C200HW-MC series motion control modules, with its built-in G-code programming, it can be used for advance motion control and its multitasking capability allows operations to be performed independently for each axis. Typical applications are conveyor systems, XY tables, palletisers/depalletisers, loaders/unloaders etc.

Both position and motion module receives instructions from the controlling CPU unit to enable full integration between PLC and the W-series servo drivers.
