Process expo set to provide much more

April 2001 News

The inclusion of seminars, celebrities, competitions and debates into the Process Control & Automation 2001 programme will make this focused trade exhibition much more than just a comprehensive shop window for this industry - the show will be an 'infotainment' - says Reed Exhibitions.

Industry support for this IIG-backed process control and automation exhibition is strong, attracting the participation of the sector's leading manufacturers and suppliers. "We expect to have a full-house of the industry's major players on show, providing a complete shop window of available products and services," said Reed Exhibitions Sales Manager Hanli Nangle.

"But also, the exhibition organising committee was determined to add additional visitor value by including other pertinent attractions." Among those that are planned for the show, which runs from 15-17 May at the Kyalami Exhibition Centre are:

* A Reed Exhibitions-sponsored breakfast for exhibitors and their guests on Tuesday 15 May with scenario specialist Clem Sunter, and a Fieldbus/Profibus technology update.

* An Endress+Hauser-sponsored luncheon on the same day.

* A Profibus User Group-sponsored cocktail party that same evening.

* On Wednesday 16 May, the South African German Chamber will be hosting a breakfast presentation by Project Manager Armin Stader about the world-renowned Interkama exhibition, set to take place in Dusseldorf from 24-28 September. Special travel packages are available from Trade Fair Travel.

* Throughout the show, all registered visitors will be automatically entered into the Profibus User Group-sponsored luxury cruise competition. The prize is a trip for two from Durban to Portuguese Island and back aboard the Monterey. The draw will be made at 17h00 on Thursday 17 May.

"We are determined to make Process Control & Automation 2001 an informative and entertaining experience for our visitors, and we urge all interested professionals to make the most of these opportunities," said Ms Nangle.
