March 2009
News
Part of the Verder Group, represented by 28 branches in 15 countries, Verder Pumps SA (VPSA) is pleased to announce that it has completed an independent BEE rating process by BEE Process and Management Company BEE SEESA.
Founded in the Netherlands in 1959 by Andre Verder, the group has an annual turnover of over £80m and employs around 300 people. VPSA has been part of the Verder Group since it was established in 2002.
The BEE rating indicates VPSA as a LEVEL 4 contributor with a score of between 65 and 75%. “This rating is significant to our company as it re-enforces the Group’s investment in South Africa, and the on-going commitment to developing our nation,” states Keith Gass, VPSA managing director.
“As part of an international company, we believe that VPSA’s presence in the local market has been further affirmed by contributing to the spirit of empowerment in South Africa. We will be contributing to the socio-economic status of our country through corporate social investment, making us part of the drive to strengthen the nation we operate in,” Gass adds.
