The combination of precision measurement coupled with its small compact design makes the EGE series SDI 852 flowmeter stand out among other in-line flow sensors.
The SDI 852 provides a monitoring function as well as precise flow measurements in the range of 0,2 to 80 litres per minute, with the flow rate digitally depicted using a clear 3 digit display. Maximum error is specified at 2% throughout the entire measuring range, ensuring high measurement accuracy.
Constructed from stainless steel and PVDF, the flowmeters can be used in electrically conductive fluids such as water-glycol mixtures. The magnetic inductive measuring system makes this sensor suitable for numerous applications in the field of automatic processes and workflows. It is suitable for monitoring cooling and heating as well as metering circuits, where precision and accuracy are vital to operational performance. An example of this would be in water treatment plants.
Precision and accuracy are possible with the sensor’s set point function as well as an analogue linear current output. Its simple to use programming menu as well as parameter protection via access code significantly reduces commissioning time and provides a high degree of process reliability. The sensor is programmed via three integrated pushbuttons on the front of the unit.
The EGE Series SDI 852 flowmeter is available from Countapulse Controls, a leading southern African supplier of sensing, measurement, counting, switching, monitoring and positioning instrumentation.
The company has technical back-up from its German principals and offers a complete technical advisory service for the most effective use of products in automotive and other branches of engineering.
