Comtest has introduced Fluke’s two new Colour ScopeMeters with industrial bus health test capability. The 225C and 215C offer all the functionality of the 199C and 196C, but with additional capabilities for a wide variety of industrial bus systems.
The meters’ bus health test mode enables technicians to automatically analyse electrical signals passing through the bus. Technicians can then compare the parameters to the industry standards for the applicable bus type.
The eye-pattern display enables technicians to visually check the overall signal quality, while the units automatically qualify the parameters as good, weak or bad based on a comparison to the standard.
Each measured parameter is presented as a value together with the statistical minima and maxima measured over time. The reference values are also displayed to give users an easier grasp of system behaviour.
Tested parameters include signal amplitudes, bias voltage, rise-and fall-times, jitter, distortion and noise levels (in-band and out-of-band) depending on the requirements of the associated standard.
