The RE series magnetic switches from SICK are ideal for use in applications that demand a high degree of robustness in harsh environments. Vibrations and imprecise guides on separating safety components are typical examples.

Packaging machines, panel separators, printing and assembly equipment are only a few among many types of devices whose access areas are often protected by hoods, hatches, or doors. The magnetic safety switches of the RE series constitute the optimum solution for safe monitoring of these protective components, since they master tolerances in door guides and machine openings, withstand the harsh conditions involved in external cleaning of facilities and are free from wear and maintenance. They offer not only safety up to performance level ‘e’ but at the same time ensure a high degree of plant availability and process safety. The product portfolio includes sensors optionally with one N/O contact and one N/C contact in cubic or metric design, with two N/C contacts, or one variant with three N/C contacts and an additional status LED display. All of the sensors can be connected flexibly to any of the appropriate safety switching devices and safety controllers.
