CEOs, CIOs and engineering professionals to profit from MMP Conference
November 2008
News
Delegates attending the inaugural Mining, Manufacturing & Process Conference on 12 and 13 November will gain critical insight into key global trends in technology, helping to guide their strategic thinking in these areas.
International speakers will be jetting in from Australia, Germany and the USA to join their local counterparts. Presenters from end users, SIs, global engineering contractors like Hatch and Fluor will share practical ways in which delegates can benefit from the application of best practices.
Following a review of presenter abstracts and qualifications the SAIMC has accredited MMP ’08 with an ECSA CPD rating of 2 points (pending). Once all presentations are finalised they will be re-evaluated by the SAIMC to confirm the accreditation status and a CPD registration number will be issued.
Organised by Technews and co-hosted by ARC Advisory Group, MMP ’08 has been structured to provide ample opportunity for attendees to interact with the pool of world-class expertise that is attending.
Strategic and best practice topics to be covered include:
* Rio Tinto’s mine of the future.
* IT and control engineering convergence.
* Process performance enhancement.
* Alarm management.
* MES selection for mineral processing.
* The value of standards – ISA S88.
* And more....
The Rio Tinto 'Mine of the Future' project will feature autonomous mining vehicles and driverless freight trains running the 330 km from mine to port. Attend MMP to learn about this project from John McGagh, head of Innovation at Rio Tinto.
