Beckhoff has expanded its Bus Terminal I/O offering in response to the need. The new KL2791 Bus Terminal is designed for direct connection to single-phase AC motors up to 100 W, enabling speed control of capacitor, universal and shaded-pole motors. This method is well suited to motors with fixed loads such as pumps and fans. The motor speed set-point being specified by a 16-bit variable in order to achieve flow rates from 10 to 100%. The motor is switched on and off with a practice-proven mains-synchronous pattern, which reduces power consumption further through controlled acceleration and deceleration.
The units are suitable for use in any bus system supported by the Beckhoff Bus Terminal system.
