The stainless steel Snifter dust switch is used to detect filter bag breakage quickly and cost-effectively, operating on the triboelectric AC signal principle. Sperosens – environmental monitoring, fire detection and suppression system specialists distribute the total Sintrol range of products, including the Snifter dust switch.
The device responds quickly enough to meet the requirements of bag filters and can also be used for process control (as an ON-OFF system) in flow – no flow situations in bulk solids handling and pneumatic transport applications. The units are self-adjusting, with no drift. Specifications:
* Detection of solid particles in gas flow (0,3 μm or larger and measurement range from 0,1 mg/m³.
* Requires minimum gas velocity of 4 m/sec.
* There are two solid state relays (170 mA/200 mA with single output).
* IP65 certified.
* Operates from 12 to 24 V d.c.
* Mass is approximately 0,7 kg.
Uses include broken bag detection, food and beverage industries, filter manufactures, chemical industries, petrochemical industries, steel and process industries, etc.
