VA Solutions has introduced the Wizlink Radio Communicator module for cost sensitive no frills applications.

The units offer bi-directional data communication with six I/O channels that can be configured for a combination of analogue or digital signals. A basic system consists of one master station and one remote station. Stations can be configured to relay signals between each other to achieve longer distances and work in applications where there is no line of site available. Modules can be configured in point-to-point or host-to-multipoint topologies.

The licence-free spread-spectrum radio technology allows small systems to be set-up with very little effort and at low-cost. The technology ensures high communication reliability even in RF-intensive environments.

The units come equipped with a 1/4 wave omni-directional whip antenna. Other configurations, such as directional Yagi or Patch antennas can be supplied seperately.

Typically the unit finds application in monitoring applications, including: temperature; flow; pressure; speed; vibration and many others.

The systems can be gainfully used by novices, yet have the functionality to meet the requirements of demanding applications.
