Model ADN is an ISO-standard compact cylinder which Festo is manufacturing in South Africa. This is an addition to the company's pneumatic drive range and combines smooth running with high load-bearing capacity.
The Festo ADN cylinder can be tailored for a broad range of applications
The ADN system concept is a further development on that of the ADVU model – a compact cylinder launched 10 years ago – and which the new cylinder has replaced. Diameters extend from 12 to 125 mm and include a comprehensive choice of variants for a broad range of applications. Stroke lengths are available up to 500 mm and numerous mounting accessories support the cylinder range.
The product requires 50% less installation space than standard cylinders. Its patented three-component piston offers excellent running properties and cushioning characteristics in the end positions. Due to the compact design, the installation space saved can be used to provide for a longer piston-rod bearing.
Festo also offers software tools that allow its products to be planned and dimensioned dependably. CAD files can be downloaded via the Internet, quickly and free of charge, permitting fast integration into system designs.

Pneumatics & Hydraulics
Those working with hydraulic or pneumatic systems know that keeping your machinery running at peak performance balances productivity and cost. As systems age, they often become less efficient, requiring more energy and more frequent repairs. The good news is that you don’t always need to invest in an entirely new machine to solve these problems.
