Klare Technologies announces new partnership

May 2008 News

The Port Elizabeth-based company has recently been appointed distributor for Austrian industrial automation specialists, Bernecker & Rainer (B&R), in South Africa. Founder, Gary Klare, believes this is a unique opportunity for B&R to capture market share in the region. “B&R’s range of products provides the capability to cater for the wide range of requirements experienced in a typical South African production facility,” says Klare. “The flexibility on offer allows for easy expansion to existing systems thereby allowing factories to expand their production facilities without the need to replace costly equipment.”

Gary Klare says the focus of the company is the sale and distribution of B&R hardware to the system integrator community

Klare founded the company following a 20-year career in the automation industry, 15 of which were spent at the helm of a specialised machine building company. During this time he brought many agencies into the country and gained a wealth of experience integrating new products into the South African marketplace. Klare believes that the companies' combined 45 years of automation experience positions them well to leverage the B&R product range, and claim a large share of the existing South African automation market.

Klare says that keeping abreast of ever-changing technologies and markets is a key factor for the future and that the company has just added a range of biometric and other security related products to provide an extra dimension to the range. “As South Africa grows in the post apartheid era, there are many challenges that are faced in this very unique marketplace. Our knowledge of the local market dynamics coupled with the diversity of the B&R product range is bound to make this partnership successful,” he concludes.
