Logging multimeter with trend capture

March 2008 Data Acquisition & Telemetry

Comtest has added a logging digital multimeter with high accuracy and TrendCapture electronics to its product range.

The Fluke 287 quickly documents performance parameters and graphically displays the results. Its unique logging and graphing capabilities remove the necessity to download data recordings to a PC for trend detection.

New functionality on the instrument includes a large 50 000 count and a backlit VGA display. Multiple data display is possible and the TrendCapture function performance characterisation and unattended monitoring.

The multimeter has on-board help screens for measurement functions, while saved measurements allow users to recall field measurements for later processing.

Additional features include:

* 0,025% d.c. accuracy.

* 100 kHz a.c. bandwidth.

* Realtime clock for automatic time stamping of recordings.

* True-rms a.c. voltage and current for accurate measurements on complex signals or non-linear loads.

* Current measurement up to 10 A (20 A for 30 seconds).

* 100 mF capacitance range.

* Temperature function.

* Relative mode to remove test lead resistance and capacitance.

* Peak capture to record transients as fast as 250 s.
