The new PCI-1727U analog output card from Advantech succeeds the PCL-727 ISA card and is fully backwards compatible with all of its programming and peripherals. Providing 12 analog output channels with 14-bit resolution, the PCI1727U is capable of outputting ±10 V and a 0–20 mA current loop. The card is equipped with 16 TTL DI and 16 TTL DO channels that are suitable for industrial on/off control applications. Both 3,3 and 5 V signalling are supported. Compatibility with the ISA card connectors and Windows DLL drivers, allows easy upgrade to a PCI platform.
PCI-1727U features a synchronised analog output function, which allows users to control multiple devices simultaneously without lag. This is a necessary feature in dual or multisystem applications with many devices running in parallel. High density design optimises the use of chassis space and a DB-37 connector is provided for connection to accessories. The card’s onboard DC-DC converter ensures full 10 V output at all times and Advantech’s anti-glitch design eliminates start-up anomalies. The device is designed to provide a cost effective solution for applications running multiple PID control loops.
