The Advantech IPC-6908 fault-resistant industrial computer automatically detects power failure, fan failure and overheating within the chassis. Visual and audible alarms provide quick notification of fault conditions. Two half-height and one 3,5" disk drives are provided, with space reserved for an extra 3,5" HDD.

The unit is provided with 250 W 1+1 hot-swap redundant power supplies, allowing online power supply maintenance with no disruption to system operation. Access is provided via a slide-out drawer capable of accommodating all standard PS/2 and ATX supplies. Two hot swappable cooling fans are included, which can be easily unplugged and replaced in the event of failure.

The IPC-6908 is CE-compliant and is housed in a heavy duty steel chassis with a plastic front panel.
