Operator Interfaces, Switches & Relays

Relay family has broad applicability

December 2007 Operator Interfaces, Switches & Relays

In any process environment, equipment monitoring is vital. The consequences of production line shutdown or breakdown are costly, especially in highly automated process industries. The new generation of Telemecanique branded Zelio control relays from Schneider Electric monitor, inform and protect users' automated processes.

Product manager, Kruben Bennie, says, "These control relays measure variable signals such as phase presence, sequence and balance, voltage, current and frequency. They can also control liquid levels and process operations, thus protecting motors and other equipment. Control device outputs provide users with information on abnormal conditions and allow them to initiate the necessary corrective actions before serious and costly breakdowns occur."

The range includes phase control relays, voltage and current relays, frequency control relays, level control relays, pump control relays, speed control relays and temperature control relays.
