In order to fulfil the needs of a growing customer base in southern Africa, exida has announced the formation of a new subsidiary, exida South Africa will enable the company to provide a broader support capability in the region.
exida is an engineering consulting and certification firm, specialising in safety critical and high availability automation systems. exida personnel have developed tools and procedures used around the world for the design, maintenance, installation, and operation of safety instrumented systems. exida's main offices are now located in Sellersville, PA, USA; Munich, Germany and Westville, South Africa with a network of service centres in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia, and New Zealand.
The new company currently serves the functional safety needs of the South African petrochemical refineries in addition to several other customers in the nuclear, chemical and related industries operating in the southern African region.
