Kit assists combustion analysis

November 2007 Analytical Instrumentation & Environmental Monitoring

The KM900 Combustion Analyser and Fireworks Reporter kit from Kane-May gives users the ability to measure, record and recall combustion flue gas data on all types of fossil fuel burning furnaces, boilers and appliances.

The analyser can display and record eight parameters simultaneously, giving instant viewing of changes in combustion conditions. The tuning of boilers, identification of faults and potentially dangerous emissions is made easy.

The reporting software included in the kit receives the recorded readings from the KM900 and superimposes the data via a PC to print and file professional reports. These reports - which are timed and dated - can detail site and appliance details as well as any engineer's comments, thus forming the maintenance history of the plant.

Fireworks Reporter software features:

* Runs under the Windows operating system.

* Displays and creates reports for each boiler test.

* Archives reports so that hard copies of reports can be accessed at any later date.

* Incorporates standard report formats for tuning, spot check and statistics.

* Incorporates blank reports for warning notices, landlord gas safety record and domestic gas safety report.

* Reports can be exported to spreadsheets or word processors.

* Supplied in disk format with integral instruction manual.

The KM900 Combustion Analyser features:

* Handheld and easy to operate.

* The large display shows eight measurements simultaneously.

* Infrared serial link for data transfer to printer or PC.

* User can configure print out with their name, address and telephone number.

* Memory stores up to 150 readings.

* Alarm settings for CO and oxygen readings.

* Long life rechargeable battery.

The kit comes supplied with protective rubber sleeve, carry case, battery charger, Fireworks software with data cable and comprehensive instruction manual.
