Machine vision with Ethernet connectivity

With its high-resolution imaging (640 x 480 pixels) capabilities combined with network communications (Ethernet and Fieldbus) the Series 600 Sensor from DVT is a valuable smart factory tool.

It delivers vital control data such as: quality control inspection results, coordinates information for motion controllers, statistical process control data and even 2D code verification. With a footprint of merely 41 x 56 x 102 mm, the Series 600 features an embedded Power PC processor, more than doubling the speed over the Series 700. The Series 600 uses DVT's patented image acquisition technology to maintain optimum image stability and repeatability.

The Series 600 ships with DVT's newest software interface, Framework 2.1, which has useful tools such as: Blob Analysis, Precision Measure, Motion Control DataLink, SPC DataLink, and 2D Code Reader. New algorithms deliver features like Template Matching and enhanced Maths Tools to take advantage of the Series 600's added speed and resolution.

SmartImage Sensors are claimed to provide the features of a traditional machine vision system at less than half of the usual price, by eliminating the signal-conversion electronics, fixed-frame rates and limited gray-scale quantitisation. Camera, image-acquisition electronics, and computer are integrated into a single unit to allow dynamic access to the CCD without image float or fluttering.
