For its T53 temperature transmitter, Wika can now provide a device type manager (DTM). Thus a comprehensive configuration capability is available for systems which support the FDT (field device tool) standard.
The DTM describes the transmitter in terms of its functionality, parameters and user interfaces. It works with the established FDT interface systems such as Control Builder F, Fieldcare, PACTware and Smart Vision. The DTM is available to download from the Wika website, www.wika.de (under 'Service/Software/DTM Collection').
With the T53, Wika can offer the automation and process industries a universal field instrument for Profibus PA and Foundation Fieldbus. The transmitter features automatic protocol recognition and can be used for all temperature sensors.
