Siemens 2007 TIA User Forum

September 2007 News

Siemens Automation and Drives (A&D) is hosting its 7th annual Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) User Forum at the Birchwood Conference Centre from 22 to 24 October 2007. This year's theme is 'Improving Efficiency, Increasing Productivity'.

This increasingly popular event aims to attract more than 450 attendees this year by offering keynote addresses, informative talks, presentations, case studies, breakaway sessions, solutions-orientated exhibitions and training sessions in industrial automation. The Siemens Automation Innovation Tour, a travelling exhibition that participates in over 170 events in more than 70 countries around the world, will be one of the highlights of the User Forum. Another highlight will be the annual tertiary challenge: the Cyber Junkyard Competition.

Following the regular keynote sessions that start each day, the additional streams of information are designed to provide a platform offering deeper insights into products, vertical industry solutions and case studies in the fields of manufacturing execution systems (MES) and manufacturing information systems (MIS); process control systems; factory automation; industrial communication; drives, motors and motion control; process instrumentation and safety systems; and control devices.

Delegates have the option of attending a number of Siemens-certified training courses in the breakaway streams that will enable them to leave the conference with new knowledge that can be applied in their businesses and will add new certified skills to their personal and corporate proficiency portfolios.

"The TIA User Forum is targeted at decision makers, engineers and technologists in the field of integrated systems and automation and control," says Darryl Kaufmann of Siemens A&D. "Whether attendees are in management or involved in the technicalities of the industry, the TIA User Forum will have something of value for everybody."
