Telemecanique has a range of photo-electric sensors, aptly called Osiris, for the detection of objects in the industrial and commercial sectors. The sensors incorporate a microprocessor and an optical circuit. They can operate in any of the five conventional detection modes. The mode is pushbutton selectable as through-beam, reflex, polarised reflex, diffuse and with background suppression.
The sensors have a 'teach' mode for precise setting of detection and fine-tuning for both frontal and lateral detection, free of interference from the surrounding environment.
The idea of light or dark switching is no longer relevant. An object has only to be detected in order to activate the output.
Osiris photo-electric sensors conform to IEC, UL and CSA standards.
