It was with much sadness that we heard of the recent death to cancer of one of the past editors of SA Instrumentation & Control, Dr Jenny Allebone. Jenny will be fondly remembered for her enthusiasm, passion and joie de vivre in both her professional and personal achievements. She was a valuable member of the Technews team from 1991 to 1997 editing both SA Instrumentation & Control and Computer Graphics. On a personal level she was one of South Africa's top grandmaster runners who over the years broke many of her age category records. She leaves her husband Mike and three sons.
