SPM Instrument AB, Sweden, experts in machine condition monitoring, has entered into an OEM partnership with Metso Minerals in Columbia, South Carolina, USA. Metso Minerals have selected SPM Instrument to provide condition monitoring equipment for use by field service teams across the world.
Metso Minerals is a leading global supplier of equipment, service and process solutions to industries including quarrying and aggregates production, mining and minerals processing, construction and civil engineering, and recycling and waste management.
The cooperation is initiated under a Metso service directive where customised Leonova Infinities and measuring routines supplied by SPM will be part of the Metso service offering to offices and service teams all over the world.
The Leonova Infinity is a versatile and comprehensive, handheld machine condition analyser offering many analysis options. Metso Minerals use the instruments for shock pulse, vibration and orbit measurements on screens, conveyors and various crushers for early detection of damages and lubrication problems on rolling element bearings.
SPM stood out from the competition and was awarded the contract as a result of first class product features and performance, a strong support offer and competitive pricing.
"This is a great success story for SPM. Metso Minerals is a prestigious customer for us and the contract is recognition that we supply superior products for condition monitoring and preventive maintenance," says Mikael Lindfors, manager of Business Solutions at SPM Instrument AB, Sweden.
