Varispeed is launching a new range of operator interface units (OIT) and touch screens supplied by Maple Systems at very competitive prices. The full colour TFT Silver Series touch screens extend from 5,7" to 10,4" and Varispeed's Rolf Lung says: "These are the ideal solution for interfacing with most PLC brands and protocols in the market and they include Ethernet as a standard feature on the enhanced models."
The MicroOIT alphanumeric operator interface is a simple and easy to use text and key terminal with either an LCD or VFD, two or four line display. Custom slide-in legends can be created with software included in the package, making the appearance of the interface unique to clients' specific applications.
The Blue Series is a low priced operator interface with a 3" graphic LCD display at 128 x 64 pixels. Lung enthuses: "This powerful little unit comes complete with realtime clock and is capable of producing animations, bar-graphs and even boasts of a bitmap import function and TrueType Fonts!"
He goes on to ask: "Why use interfaces manufactured for specific PLCs when one can be used for many different controllers? The list of drivers covers most brands of PLCs, making it easy for system integrators and OEMs to standardise on software and simplify programming."
The American designed graphic software is supplied free of charge and is easy to use.
To complete the range, the product offer is rounded off with affordable, rugged and powerful Gold Series IPCs preloaded with Windows XP Pro and the Ivory Series Panel PCs preloaded with Windows CE. Net 4.2.
These solutions are backed by a two-year warranty from date of manufacture.
