Controlling the bushveld?
May 2007
News
On the border of the internationally renowned Kruger National Park, in the heart of the African bush was the destination of the latest Control Roadshow. A wonderful setting for the gathering of like-minded control instrumentation 'techno-heads'.
Of course the extensive, complex control requirements at the Phalaborwa industrial installations was the real reason for this one-day exhibition - but an escape to the bush always seems to be good for one's perspective on life.
This year the exhibition was hosted at the Mopani Country Lodge where the newly upgraded facilities allowed 21 exhibiting companies to comfortably display their control solutions to the high-tech community. The later starting time allowed for the introduction of an evening braai, while the Festo van parked in the garden drew the attention of visitors relaxing in the garden outside. The show opened at 14h00 with visitors from a highly targeted database of end users in this area. After liberal one on one communication around equipment and the braai-fire, the show closed at 18h00.
Exhibiting companies at this years' Phalaborwa show included;
Adroit, Airtech, Anglo Allied Engineering, Bürkert Contromatic, Elemental Analytics, Ernest Lowe, Festo, Instrotech, Loadtech Load Cells, Monitor Samson Controls, Omniflex, Phendula Technologies, PPE Tech, Protea Automation Solutions, RJ Programmable Techniques, RS Components, SSE - Gauteng, Temperature Controls, Thermo Electron, Tyco Valves, WNIP.
The next exhibition will be held on the 14 June in Nelspruit, with further venues for the year including Secunda, East London, Port Elizabeth, and Vaal Triangle. For more details contact Penny on +27 (0)11 476 2066 or [email protected]
