Flow Monitor FS20

E-T-A's range of flow monitors and meters are suitable for widespread applications ranging from the chemical industry over industrial engineering up to process control in cooling equipment. Monitored media are water and watery liquids, oils, air and gases, even with high pressure values. The Flow Switch FS20 is a further extension of the flow monitor range of E-T-A for applications in pipes with big diameters as well as in cooling equipment with thick-walled insulation.

Major features of the compact single-point flow switch are its optimised design for the special applications, the push-in monitoring head and the wide temperature range which makes it suitable for use in ambient temperatures from -25 to

+100°C. The integral electronic control unit in the stainless steel monitoring head saves space. Electrical connection is by means of a 3-pole M12 connector to IEC 947. The required supply voltage is DC 24 V.

The FS20 allows monitoring of either a maximum or minimum limit value. The desired switch point may be adjusted steplessly by the user depending on the medium via a potentiometer. A short-circuit-proof switching output provides signalisation with a power mosfet. Power failure, for example wire breakage, will be signalled like a flow fault.

Method of operation of the E-T-A Flow Switches type FS20 is the calorimetric principle. The invasive measurement implies no moving parts in the flow stream and no wear, keeping the equipment maintenance-free; impairment of the medium is excluded.

Electronic Flow Monitor FS30

Water is a precious commodity. Efficient water management is therefore paramount across many application fields. Water conserving irrigation systems for agriculture, golf courses and sports grounds, as well as water management in passenger trains, industrial applications and residential buildings require an easy-to-use but effective means of monitoring.

Purpose-designed for such needs, the E-T-A flow monitor FS30 combines a rugged design with high operating reliability. Its wear-resistent IP67 stainless steel housing, robust membrane-type sensor probe and DC 12 V supply requirement, make the FS30 particularly suitable for solar-powered outdoor applications. The single point sensor monitors flow rate ranges from 0,25 to 3 m/s. As soon as the flow rate falls below the pre-set MIN value, the FS30 provides a 500 mA transistor output signal which may be used for swithching pumps and similar equipment.

Visual status indication is by means of two front mounted LEDs.

Flow Meters FM1-CA and FM3

Though electricity, water and air are among the most important energy sources in many industrial plants, compressed air is by far the most expensive. Accurate consumption measurement and its totalisation allows the supply of costly compressed air to be matched to actual demand. In addition, minimisation of leakage losses helps to reduce costs. An innovative and economical solution is available to achieve these objectives.

The E-T-A Flow Meter FM1-CA provides a convenient plug-in design with monitoring head types CSP and CSF, facilitating installation in any sensor adapter, suitable for all three levels of compressed air distribution:

* Main pipes up to DN500.

* All distribution pipes.

* Supply pipes from DN15 (1/2").

The calorimetric measuring principle of the FM1-CA and the FM3 ensures they will reliably measure even a very small volume flow which is a pre-condition for the detection and remedy of small leakages.

Tube Sensor TLS100

The new E-T-A tube sensor TLS100 is an ideal solution for level sensing and monitoring in complex or sophisticated applications. Reliable limit value monitoring without medium contact, ease of installation and maintenance, and a long life span are indispensable requirements when selecting level sensors for applications in the foodstuffs industry, in the chemical and pharmaceutical industries, and for medical equipment. The TLS100 features a small and compact design, and is highly robust. It works on the capacitive measuring principle and monitors MIN or MAX levels of water and similar solutions without making contact with the medium. A transistor output provides a switching signal. Solid state electronic circuitry ensures precise, reliable and maintenance-free operation without the use of any mechanical parts. Key functions of the TLS100, ie, switch point, MIN or MAX monitoring, plus- or minus-switching, and response delay are programmed on a microcontroller which is at the heart of the product. The TLS100 is simply snapped onto the tube or pipe container. By means of by-pass tubes, level monitoring with containers with difficult designs or materials can also be achieved.
