Wonderware's 15th X-CHANGE User Group Conference

February 2007 News

Sun City will once more be hosting Wonderware's 15th annual X-CHANGE User Group Conference, which will be held from the 25 to 27 March 2007. This is a milestone on the SA industrial calendar, which has always attracted more than 400 local and international professionals from the worlds of manufacturing and mining.

"At long last, information technology is now less about the technology and more about the information itself," says Justin Tweedie, MD of Wonderware Southern Africa, a member of the EOH group of companies. "At X-CHANGE 2007, we will be showcasing how Wonderware's approach to realtime production and performance management helps companies realise their business goals through the integration of what were previously fragmented and 'standalone' applications."

More than 40 presentations addressing topics ranging from highly technical to strategic will show how end-users and system integrators can turn their wishful thinking into reality. The conference will be highly informative to people who are asking themselves questions such as:

* How are people linking and integrating their production and business systems? Or is it all hype?

* What are the world-wide trends in manufacturing intelligence?

* How can I get the most from what I have and increase ROI?

* How can I pinpoint the causes of inefficiency in my plant?

* Who can help me achieve my business goals?

* How are other manufacturers handling standards, traceability, redundancy, downtime, disaster recovery, realtime KPIs?

* What is coming down the Wonderware technology pipeline in 2007?

* What is happening at Microsoft?

Delegates will also have a chance to interact with industry leaders and to sample some of the most impressive industrial automation and MES implementations at the EXPO where local and international solution providers will showcase their projects.
