T-slot magnetic cylinder switches for hazardous dust areas

The new magnetic cylinder switches MK500A and MK501A from IFM Electronic are specially designed for use in hazardous areas. They meet the requirements of the directive 94/9/EC (ATEX) and can be used in hazardous dust areas of the category 3D (zone 22, non-conductive dusts).
With their innovative mounting feature, the sensors are easily inserted from above into the T-slot where they click home. For easy positioning of the correct switchpoint, the switches can be moved in the slot. They are permanently secured by simply using a slotted screw or hexagon socket screw.
The electronic cylinder switches work without wear and have a much longer life than Reed switches. The high switching frequency of 10 000 Hz makes the switches ideal for fast applications.
Using the IFM mounting adapters, the T-slot cylinder switches can also be mounted on other cylinder types, such as clean-line, tie-rod, integrated profile and trapezoidal slot cylinders.
The sensors are equipped either with a M12 connector or a connection cable, and with their IP 67 protection rating, they are suitable for a wide range of applications. The switches are vibration and shock resistant and are suitable for operating in a temperature range from -20 to 60°C.
