The Blomberg automation specialist, Phoenix Contact, adds visualisation solution Visu+ from Progea, Modena (Italy) to its Automationworx software suite. The joint venture with the industrial automation software component manufacturer includes the further development of the SCADA solution to satisfy future needs.
In addition to features such as operation and monitoring, trend diagramming and alarm handling, the visualisation solution offers further features such as operating data capture and logging, as well as connections to database and ERP systems. The control system is achieved through open connectivity (OPC). The software offers user-friendly, platform-independent planning based on a standard and intuitive interface. Integrated encryption algorithms and user password management ensure a high level of transmission and access reliability. The user can access the visualisation solution from anywhere in the world using the Web interface. In addition, the software is available as a full SCADA package on many PCs in the control centre and is directly accessible through a Windows CE terminal.
The Automationworx software suite with Visu+ has already been successfully implemented in synthetic mechanical engineering as well as in water management areas. An extensive industry-specific library of function modules supported the rapid project development.
