Automation Fair 2000, a forum for complete automation solutions sponsored by Rockwell Automation, was held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia, USA in December 2000. More than 20 000 manufacturing decision-makers attended the event.
Today's economy is driving manufacturers to lower costs and find the highest value from all aspects of the enterprise - from the front office, to the shop floor, to external business partners and suppliers. Automation Fair 2000 emphasised the emerging industry trend of e-manufacturing and how Rockwell Automation's Complete Automation approach to manufacturing meets the critical needs of manufacturers today.
"Rockwell Automation is a significant force in helping manufacturing companies lay the foundation for e-manufacturing," said Randy Freeman, Vice President, Global Marketing, Rockwell Automation. "Automation Fair 2000 showcases our commitment to delivering the highest value in automation solutions throughout all parts of a manufacturer's enterprise. Attendees can learn how to lower costs and increase efficiencies through Rockwell Automation, our brands, and our global partners."
This year's two-day fair featured 20 hands-on training labs, 49 technical sessions, and 115 hardware, software and system integration companies coming together to showcase solutions and interoperability within the manufacturing industry. Hands-on training labs offered attendees the opportunity to experience Rockwell Automation solutions first-hand in a classroom-style environment. In addition, technical sessions provide overviews of industries, products and solutions.
