Roadshows, 2001 and beyond ...

January 2001 News

Another year behind us, and from the feedback we have received, most suppliers had a good year in 2000 in spite of all the threatening 'BUGS'. 2001 will undoubtedly uncover a new set of challenges with technology announcing better solutions to doing everything we have just become accustomed to.

The Control Roadshow finished the year 2000 on a high note with the Carletonville exhibition on 21 November. Registration of attendees from the surrounding areas was positive, however a larger number of visitors came from further away communities such as Potchefstroom and Klerksdorp. Once again the show was very well represented by the instrumentation and control supplier base, and displays and presentations from the following companies could be viewed: AC/DC Dynamics, Adroit Technologies, Anglo Allied Engineering, Ascoreg, Autotech Weighing Systems, Bürkert Contromatic, Danfoss, Dartcom, Des-Pro Technology, Dyzer Technology, Futuristix, Honeywell SA, Ind Auto & Control, Instrotech, KAB Instruments, Laser Measurement, Loadtech, Measurtronic, Meissner, Moeller Electric, N&Z Instrumentation, PLC Direct, PREI Instruments, Ramsey Technology, Setpoint Turnkey Solutions, Shorrock Automation, Spectrum Communication, Sperogroup, Vega Instruments SA, Yelland Control and Yokogawa SA.

2001 represents a new year of challenges for The Control Roadshow and includes two new areas not covered by a focused instrumentation show before. While we do have exciting plans for additional targeted shows, the scheduled Roadshow dates for 2001 are; 25 January, 29 March, 24 May, 26 July, 20 September, 15 November for the areas of Rustenburg, Richards Bay, Newcastle, Secunda, Vaal Triangle and Western Cape respectively.

To assist end users in these areas in understanding how the Roadshows are conducted, Penmac has produced a video/CD-ROM, which covers the product representation and the professionalism that is present at all of The Control Roadshow events.
