Adroit Technologies (UK) is going from strength to strength with its high-performance automation software. The company supplies and supports Adroit scada HMI, which can be easily and effectively configured to perform a wide range of process and factory automation applications. In simple terms, the system enables users to visualise and control industrial processes and access plant data.
Adroit Technologies believes that its technical advantages, such as superior data integrity and system availability, combined with ease of use and flexibility, have helped the company to grow rapidly in a highly competitive market. Adroit is already involved in major automation projects with household names such as National Grid, Powergen, ITL and British Aerospace, with the robust nature of the software winning business for the company in the defence and power sectors, where reliability is crucial.
A network of European distributors has been established and Adroit systems are being deployed in the Netherlands, Germany, and France, in applications ranging from paper production to traffic management.
The company works with a network of carefully selected System Integrators in the UK and also has special deals for OEMs (original equipment manufacturers) who package the software with their products. Training is a key factor in the success of implementations and Adroit have recently extended their range of Beginners and Advanced training courses for System Integrators and end-users. The courses can be delivered on site or classroom style.
Strong technical support is also an important selling point for the company. Nigel Ball, Sales Director, comments: "Having the best automation software is only part of the story. System Integrators need support and immediate answers. Most of our competitors are based in America and are unable to deliver the kind of support we offer, due to a number of factors - time differences and several layers of personnel being the main reasons. We have direct access to development staff only one hour's time difference away, should we need it, and holding a copy of the source code in the UK also helps."
