NewElec's GA relays are designed to meet market requirements for a more reliable and stable form of earth leakage protection for use on variable speed drives/soft starter and DOL applications involving large kW motors, without sacrificing earth leakage sensitivity or trip delay speed.
The GA relays provide a stable operation during high inrush current conditions irrespective of the starting method. They offer a user-selectable terminal block IDMT or an instantaneous 0,1 s trip delay characteristic.
Three LEDs indicate healthy, tripped and the selected trip curve characteristic.
GA relays are designed for flush door mounting and require an auxiliary power supply of either 110 or 220 V a.c. Four models are available with a 250 mA, 375 mA, 500 mA or 1000 mA earth leakage sensing threshold. One screened core balance current transformer is available in different IDs for both IDMT and instantaneous trip curve selection.
The relays have a compact door-mounted housing with a 146 x 63 mm cut out, and the main trip contact can be factory set as latching or as a non-latching configuration.
