Middelburg in the middle
July 2006
News
Yes the middle of the year saw The Control Roadshow in Middelburg - well almost. 25 May is almost the middle. I think if you speak to any regular exhibitors they will tell you that this event was probably the first time the direction map was flawless.
You see, this year for the Middelburg show we went to the Midway Hotel in Middelburg, and therein lies the trick. It is hard to mess up - 'turn left off the highway and at the T junction - there it is'. Well the new time format for the shows seems to be catching on and 11h00 to 17h00 seems to suit most of the visitors and exhibitors alike. The venue was a little tight which limited the number of exhibitors we could accommodate, however it still proved better than any previous venue we have used in this area, so consequently may be re-visited in future years.
Visitors to the show started arriving at 11h00 sharp, and continued with a steady flow until about 16h15. It was very encouraging to see so many senior practitioners from this industry take the time to view the latest products on offer from the participating exhibitors. Particularly noticeable was the large crowd that visited from Columbus Steel, all of which contributed to a very worthwhile day. Thanks, everyone.
Exhibitors in Middelburg included: Anglo Allied, ASSTech, Autotech Weighing, Bartech, Bürkert, Dryden Combustion, Instrotech, KAB, Laser Measurement, Loadtech Loadcells, Monitor Samson Valves, National Instruments, Omniflex, Paltechnologies, RJ Programmable, RS Components, Temperature Controls, Thermo Electron, Throughput Technologies, Tyco Valves, Westplex, Wirsam Scientific, WNIP, Yokogawa.
Three more shows for the year include Secunda, Port Elizabeth and Vaal Triangle.
