Operational Marketing expands

April 2006 News

Operational Marketing, part of the OMSA Group of Companies, has acquired three new UK agencies: Magnom - fluid conditioning equipment; Airpel Filtration - solutions for liquid filtration and Filtertechnik - portable particle counters. These product additions enable Operational Marketing (OM) to offer a more holistic and complementary service to clients.

Business development director, Roger Kuch said: "We are very pleased to have acquired these agencies, particularly Filtertechnik, which offers a portable particle counter at a fraction of the cost normally associated with such analytical equipment. Until fairly recently, oil analysis has been conducted off-site at great expense. Now the PC 9000 portable particle counter can analyse samples on site, and is regarded as an essential tool in proactive maintenance.

Airpel Filtration is a most complementary addition to the OM stable, which has been active in the filtration sector for some time. Airpel has conducted extensive research and development over the years and its filtration products are of a world class standard. With the introduction of the Airpel range it will focus on additional industrial sectors such as: adhesives, paints, inks, coatings, food and drink, marine, water, nuclear and power generation to mention a few. The Airpel filters are ISO 9000:2000 accredited.

Most people would normally associate the Magnom fluid conditioning systems with Formula 1 racing, but these systems are also utilised in large scale gearboxes - as in coal fired power stations, sugar mills and mining and mineral extraction gearboxes - hydraulic systems; automotive; water cooling and heating systems and ferrous machine tool coolant systems such as boring and grinding machinery. The Magnom system is quite unique in as much that it has no moving parts, 100% scaleability, is environmentally friendly and improves fluid and machine and component life."
