OEN acquires image intensifier agency
April 2006
News
OEN Enterprises has acquired the sole Photonis-Dep agency for the sub Saharan region. Photonis-Dep is the global source for innovative Photon Sensor Technology dedicated to image intensifier solutions within the Photonis group. The quality and performance of the Photonis-Dep products are recognised by NATO countries and Ministries of Defence worldwide. During February 2005, Photonis in Brive, France, and Delft Electronic Products in Roden, The Netherlands, announced the merger of the two companies. This acquisition placed the Group as a leader in the Photon detection world. The company supplies image intensifiers, photomultipliers and micro channel plates.
Image Intensifiers reveal more details of the night and offer extended range capabilities enabling the user to detect more details during a full 24-hour operation. They can facilitate true 24/7 operation to improve the quality of the image, not only during day-night-day transitions, but also under dynamic lighting conditions, such as military operations in urban terrain which define many of today's missions. Photonis-Dep image intensifiers are believed to represent a new standard for night vision and are available in a variety of inverting and non-inverting formats (form-fit-function) for existing and new optical systems.
