SAP interoperability certification achieved
March 2006
News
Wonderware Enterprise Integration Application 2.0 has completed certification as part of the SAP 'Interoperability Certification' programme, which recognises applications that integrate industry standards such as ISA-95.
For more than a year, Wonderware has worked closely with SAP and a set of early adopter end-users to implement ISA-95-based software solutions. As a result, Wonderware is now qualified by SAP as 'Certified for SAP NetWeaver', which is the first step in receiving the 'Powered by SAP NetWeaver' partner status. A new step has been taken to help manufacturers achieve operational excellence by reducing the complexity, costs and risks of business-to-manufacturing integration.
"Wonderware software, built on ArchestrA and Microsoft technology and SAP's NetWeaver are the key enablers for achieving accelerated time-to-value, reduced cost of ownership and rapid adoption of system changes at a lower risk when integrating manufacturing processes," said Mark Davidson, Wonderware's vice president of global marketing.
Wonderware's Enterprise Integration Application enables manufacturers to improve operational performance by integrating diverse sets of manufacturing systems and business applications to achieve greater levels of business productivity. By offering an ISA-95-enabled manufacturing solution with a certified interface to SAP, customers can re-use their integration efforts across multiple manufacturing facilities and create an infrastructure that is maintainable for the long term.
Being 'Certified for SAP NetWeaver' enables Wonderware to expand installations of its enterprise integration solution to the broad SAP customer base and this gives SAP customers the opportunity to take advantage of industry standards that support realtime manufacturing enterprises.
