Stability at frequent temperature or humidity changes is important to ensure accurate switching in automated applications where there is a constantly high temperature, high humidity or frequent changes in both.
Capable of operating at permanent temperatures as high as 120°C, the EGE Series IGMF Climatic-Proofed Inductive Switch is waterproofed to IP68 and jet waterproofed to IP69. This makes the unit suitable for use in automated car wash plants, steam cleaning bays, galvanising plants and other areas with similar operating conditions. This specially developed inductive switch has a high corrosion resistance coupled with a high mechanical loading, and this has been achieved through the combination of PTFE and titan stabilised stainless steel.
The PTFE-hoods are sealed through Viton O-rings and the PTFE-Silicone connecting cable is poured within the casing and freed over a double seal from the casing. Cable lengths up to 20 metres are available. An important feature of the EGE Series IGMF is that the LEDs are easily visible through the cable side cap.
