Three functions compactly packed in one module. The KM from Schurter saves mounting time, space and costs.
New and continuously smaller electrical and electronic components lead to continuously smaller equipment. For Schurter this was the reason to develop new power entry modules that are even more compact for their applications, and the new KM is the result of this.
The KM includes:
* Appliance inlet according to IEC/EN.
* On/off switch.
* Fuseholder for fuse links 5 x 20 mm; fuse link is exchangeable from the equipment front.
* With or without EMC shield.
* With cover on the rear side.
The following KM versions are available:
KM without shield is for applications where no mains filter and no EMC-shielding are necessary. KM with shield is for applications where EMC-shielding against radiated interferences is required, but an individually adapted interference suppression for conducted interferences (eg separate filter on a printed circuit board) is preferred. The optimal shielding effect is reached through a shield made of stainless spring steel between the KM and the cut-out in the panel. Flexible steel segments result in a reliable contact with the panel and ground terminal. The KM is made for max 10 A/250 V a.c. It is IEC qualified for use in equipment with safety requirements according to IEC/EN 60950 and approved by VDE, UL and CSA.
