One of the best ways to quantify the quality of water is to use a continuous turbidity monitoring system. The GLI Accu-4 is the latest generation of turbidity monitoring equipment. By using a four-beam method of measurement, it mathematically eliminates the errors caused by fouling and ageing of components, and compensates for any colour effects in the water being monitored.
The calibration of the Accu-4 remains stable for several years because the LEDs used have a life expectancy of 10 years. The calibration can quickly and easily be verified with the patented 'Cal-Cube', which is a highly stable glass secondary standard, not affected by light, ageing or temperature.
The zero point calibration of the instrument is electronically checked once every minute, ensuring reliable low-range accuracy. Built-in diagnostic software automatically alarms the operator if there is a component malfunction, and if the unit needs cleaning. These factors make the Accu-4 a suitable turbidity monitor for all potable water applications, including soft drink production.
